OHS Policy
Statement.

The first document a COR auditor asks for: a signed statement of your company's health and safety commitment and who is responsible for what. Complete starter policy language you adapt and sign — not a blank form.

A policy statement that holds up in an audit interview.

A formal written health and safety program is a legal requirement for employers with 20 or more workers at a moderate- or high-hazard workplace, or 50 or more workers (OHS Regulation s.3.1). Smaller employers aren't required to have one by that section, but COR certification asks for it regardless of size.

This is element 1 of 13. The COR Small-Employer Kit covers the other twelve.
