1. About BC Safety Docs

BC Safety Docs is a sole proprietorship operating in British Columbia, Canada. We sell digital safety document templates designed for use by BC contractors, safety officers, and employer representatives operating under WorkSafeBC OHS Regulation.

2. Products and Purchases

BC Safety Docs sells digital document templates as downloadable files. Refunds: if you buy the COR Small-Employer Kit and it isn't what you expected, email info@bcsafetydocs.com within 14 days of purchase and we will refund the full price, no questions asked. After 14 days, because the files are digital and are delivered immediately, sales are final. If you experience a technical issue preventing download, contact us within 7 days of purchase and we will resolve it.

Prices are listed in Canadian dollars (CAD). Payment is processed securely by Stripe. BC Safety Docs does not store payment card information.

3. Licence and Permitted Use

Upon purchase you receive a single-entity licence to use the purchased template(s) within your own organization. Permitted uses include:

• Editing and customizing the template for your company's specific worksite needs
• Printing and using the completed document on worksites operated by your organization
• Storing copies within your organization's safety management system

The following are not permitted without written authorization from BC Safety Docs:

• Reselling, redistributing, or sharing the template files with third parties outside your organization
• Publishing the templates online or including them in products or services sold to others
• Removing or altering any BC Safety Docs attribution or disclaimer text

4. No Warranty — Document Accuracy

BC Safety Docs templates are prepared with reference to WorkSafeBC OHS Regulation at the time of publication. However, regulations change and worksites vary. We make no warranty, express or implied, that any template is complete, current, or suitable for any specific worksite application.

It is the responsibility of the purchaser and the qualified person using the document to verify compliance with the current WorkSafeBC OHS Regulation and any applicable site-specific requirements before use. BC Safety Docs accepts no liability for any injury, loss, regulatory penalty, or other consequence arising from the use of these templates.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, BC Safety Docs shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the purchase or use of any template, including but not limited to workplace incidents, regulatory non-compliance, or WorkSafeBC enforcement action. Total liability shall not exceed the amount paid for the product in question.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of British Columbia.

7. Privacy Policy

BC Safety Docs collects only the information necessary to process your order, deliver your purchase or free download, and respond to you. This includes:

• Email address — used to deliver your purchased document and respond to support requests
• Free download signups — when you request a free template we collect your email address, which template you asked for, and the date. We use it to email your download link. If you tick the optional box on the form, we also add your email to our mailing list to send occasional WorkSafeBC compliance updates; if you leave it unticked we do not add you to that list. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any update email or by writing to us
• FireSmart self-check — if you request the emailed report from our FireSmart assessment tool, we collect your email address, the answers you select (roof, siding, outbuildings, water supply, surrounding fuels, land size), your score, and only the first three characters of your postal code. We never store the full postal code. We use these to send your report and to understand what the tool is used for. If you tick the optional box we also add your email to our mailing list to send occasional wildfire-safety and WorkSafeBC updates; if you leave it unticked we do not add you to that list. You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data at any time
• COR incentive calculator — if you request the emailed breakdown from our COR incentive calculator, we collect your email address, the figures you enter (annual payroll, optional number of workers, base rate) and the resulting estimate, plus a truncated, one-way hash of your network address used only to limit abuse. We email you the breakdown. If you tick the optional box we also add your email to our mailing list to send a few short COR-readiness emails; if you leave it unticked we do not add you to that list. You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data at any time
• COR gap check — if you request the emailed report from our COR gap check, we collect your email address, your answers to the 13 questions, your selected industry, and a truncated, one-way hash of your network address used only to limit abuse. We email you the report. If you tick the optional box we also add your email to our mailing list to send a few short COR-readiness emails; if you leave it unticked we do not add you to that list. You can unsubscribe or ask us to delete your data at any time
• Call requests — if you ask for a call, we collect your name, email address, optional phone number, your message, the page you asked from, and a truncated one-way hash of your network address used only to limit abuse. We use these only to arrange and follow up on that call and, for the launch offer, to ask for feedback; a call request does not add you to our mailing list. You can ask us to delete your data at any time
• Payment information — collected and processed by Stripe. BC Safety Docs does not receive or store card numbers or banking details
• Purchase details — product purchased, amount, and date, retained for accounting and tax purposes. If you ask for a refund under the 14-day refund policy in Section 2, we use your email and purchase details to find your payment and refund it through Stripe, and we keep a record of the refund for the same accounting and tax purposes

We do not sell or rent your personal information. This site uses the Google tag to measure how our Google Ads perform (for example, whether a visit to the site leads to a purchase). Google may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser and receives information about your visit, such as the pages viewed and your IP address, under Google's privacy policy. You can block or delete these cookies in your browser settings or opt out through Google's ad settings. When you request a free template, the site also tells Google that a signup happened and which template it was, so we can measure our ads. Your email address is not sent to Google. The other service providers we use are Stripe (payment processing), Resend (email delivery) and Cloudflare (website hosting and storage of signup records). These providers may process information outside Canada, including in the United States.

We keep free-download signup records until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by emailing info@bcsafetydocs.com. Note that we are required to retain certain financial records for a minimum period under Canadian tax law.

BC Safety Docs complies with the Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA) of British Columbia.

8. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available at bcsafetydocs.com/terms.html. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
